Rice is sometimes used as an intriguing enhancement for beers to go with local dishes and produce. It's obviously up to the brewer to choose good quality rice and use it properly as part of the recipe. In this workshop you'll explore this micro-niche with a tasting of four beers, from Croce di Malto (Trecate, Novara), Birrificio Sant'Andrea (Vercelli) and Le Baladin (Piozzo, Cuneo). They'll be served with cheeses, local produce and a taleggio and licorice risotto cooked by a special guest chef: Eugenio Signoroni, editor of Slow Food's Italian beers guide.
